A concept design for a dessert cookbook chapter.

In my approach to designing my cookbook chapter’s style, I researched other cookbooks and was inspired by modern, clean layout styles with bright and bold images.

I designed my own cookbook page layout to be fairly simple and straightforward, and though I created four Master Page templates in InDesign, I kept each template fairly the same, with only minor tweaks in order to accommodate the text depending on each recipe.

I created my own illustrations of each dessert for each recipe using Photoshop, and set each illustration with a bold color background. Two typefaces were selected for text and used pink for headings/titles and subheadings to contrast with the black used for the rest of the text.
